I paid 1 months rent in advance when I moved in the property, do I need to pay rent for the last month of my contract when I leave.

Paying rent in advance means that on the 1st of every month (let’s assume), your paying rent for that given month. 

When moving, you shouldn’t pay anything after you leave, unless you’re leaving a month earlier than your contract, which will make you liable for that extra time regardless of you moving. 

Remember to ask for your deposit at the end of the tenancy.
