I’m wanting to move into a property that I’ve recently viewed.
I submitted my application to the agent and paid the admin fee. They got a successful reference off my current landlord and my employer and approved me but requested I get a guarantor because my income was a bit below their threshold. My parents said they would be my guarantor, but the agent declined them because of their circumstances. I’ve paid almost £200 in fees to agent but they keep giving me obstacles.
I’ve even offered to pay for the landlord to put a rental guarantee insurance policy on me, but the agency said I wouldn’t be able to pass for that.
I can’t pay extra month’s rent in advance. Is there anything else I can do to show the agent I really want to rent this place?
