I’ve found a flat through an agency ( and I’ve paid their admin fee of £118. They tell me the landlord is happy with me after conducting all his checks. Yet the agency is delaying arranging for me to move in; it’s been more than a week since the landlord told them all was OK. I’m living in a homeless hostel so I really want to move.

How can I persuade the agency to let me move in?

What reason do they give you for not allowing you to move in ?

If they are still doing repair / renovation work, or they are waiting for the current tenants to move any time soon, it might be why you’re on hold. Just call them and ask.
