Hi all, a question which I cannot find the answer anywhere!

Almost at the end of our AST and we don’t want to sign another contract but go onto periodic tenancy instead due to possibly moving away within twelve months.  Can the letting agent/landlord force us to sign another contract and if we don’t, evict us for refusing to sign it?  Or can we tell them we want to go onto a periodic tenancy for flexibility? Can find no info on the internet about this particular situation (which seems odd!) Have been in the same place for four years, pass all inspections and regular with the rent!

Regards

John

I guessed this would be a tricky one to answer by the lack of response here and the lack of answers on the internet, seems that no one here knows either, will continue trying to find out and maybe find the answer!
