I’ve rented a property for 3 and a half years.
When i moved out two weeks ago I agreed that a drawer/cover to the freezer basket had been damaged, i said that i would get a replacement.
Unfortunately the part has been discontinued by the manufacturer due to the age of the appliance and i am unable to source a replacement part.
The landlord has also advised me that the second basket drawer/cover is also damaged although this was not mentioned at the time.
There was no other damage to the property.
Am I liable to purchase a new freezer?

Hello,

Probably not the entire freezer, but if the landlord decides to replace it, you will be liable for a part of the cost.

You can try looking online for a broken freezer and try to purchase the baskets. It would be the cheapest option.
