I recently moved out of a rented property after living there for a year and a half.
The landlady is trying to claim for repainting of a kitchen and 2 walls in the lounge, even though it was left in a good condition. We belive she is being unreasonable as we are accepting the issues in the lounge.
We moved in in January and the landlady had the house redecorated in the October before. When we moved in no inventory was made of the property, which has been confirmed by the letting agency. We are trying to be reasonable saying we are willing to compromise. However, even though the is a invoice showning the property was redecorated am I within my rights to not pay anything? (Even though we would still compromise with her) Due to there being no inventory, and therefore no proof of the kitchens condition piror to us moving in.
