Who is responsible for liasing with the hire car company Tennant or landlord
I’m not sure who’s ‘responsible’ for communication as such but I would imagine if the landlord wants their compensation then it would be wise for them to be proactive.
However, bear in mind that there might be a clause in your tenancy that makes you responsible for any damage done by someone coming on to the property at your invitation and causing damage. I’m not a lawyer but that clause could put you in breach of your tenancy, even if the hire car company is actually the one responsible for the damages.
Either way, it might be worth facilitating the whole thing if it’s not too much trouble so that it’s dealt with more quickly.
