Good evening everyone,
I need a suggestion by someone more ‘expert’ than me in this field.
July 2017 I rented a flat, paid my deposit, agency fees and first month in advance. My contract is one year contract with the option to break it down on the 5th month for the 6th. (Informing in December the agency to leave in January 2018).
Just few days ago (not even 2 months I have been living in the flat) I got informed at 22:30 in the night by the agency that the landlord has now changed his mind and decided to put the flat on sale.
I am a bit astonished and worried as well because that I have started to feel like my home is not going to be it anymore and I will have to leave it in January, furthermore, viewings have to be arranged from now on till they will find the right buyer!
I have just ‘lost’ my new home, having to look for a new place, having to plan another move and pay for it but also have to have people entering my home until they will find the buyer.
What are my rights in a case like this? Is there anything that can protect me from living a hell in the following 5 months??
Thank you very much for your answers, they will be really appreciated!
