I have just checked out of my rented property this morning, the Landlord came round and done the inspection, this was checked against the inventory report. She said all was fine and everything was clean as when we moved in, but we didnt sign anything to confirm this.

My question is: Can the Landlord still make deductions after today? Does this mean we haven’t actually checked out?

Because you haven’t signed anything, the landlord can go back and change their mind. You should have insisted to sign a check-out report and indicate both sides were happy.

This doesn’t mean you haven’t checked out, only that there is no signed check-out report.

If you need more information, you can read our article on inventory reports – http://www.thetenantsvoice.co.uk/advice_from_us/tenancy-inventory-check/
