Hi,I have just given my private landlord 2months notice to quit their property,I am up to date with my rent and have been a model tenant with no problems. However since I gave notice a week ago the landlord is going to bring potential tenants to my flat and is insisting they can come anytime with 24hours notice and that it is in the contract that I’ve signed to which I have checked and is correct,however I’m insisting they only bring new tenants whilst I’m here which thought was my right and I’m getting texts and hand delivered letters that they are wanting me to sign to say I’m going to pay the rent for the two months notice ,the landlord came to my abode last night and I’ve given a cheque to cover the rent for next month however my rent is £650 and my landlord has a deposit hold of £750 belonging to me,I have kept their flat in pristine condition but somehow if a still pay the last month rental I feel they will make excesses not to return my deposit,could you advise me please via the law on these matters ,many thanks.

If your deposit is properly protected, you shouldn’t worry about illegal deductions, as the deposit scheme will help in clearing any confusion about who is owed what. 

Typically the landlord is allowed to access with a 24h notice, but it must follow your permission. You have a right to decline access if it doesn’t meet your conditions, which is to be present during the visit. 

Especially since the landlord is bringing strangers to both of you, who may easily steal your belonging while “viewing the property” and get away with you relatively easily.
