Yesterday, we found out that the letting agency did a viewing of our house. We didn’t get any notice. We found out because they had used a lock on the front door that we don’t normally use.

We are moving out in a few weeks. The contract says that the letting agency has to ask our permission for viewings, 24 hours in advance.

According to the Housing Act 1988, it is illegal for a landlord or agent to enter a property without permission from the tenant. We feel that our privacy has been invaded.

Does anyone know where we can file a complaint?

Thank you!
