We have been renting our house for 7year’s and our landlord has decided to sell the house. Is it supposed to be advertised with sit in tenants and if the new landlord doesn’t want to carry on renting the house how much notice are they supposed to give us?? Thanks in advance.

Hello,

The rules for your eviction are the same for any landlord. Even if your home is sold to a new landlord, they must abide by any fixed term and can only end when the fixed term expires.

If you’re on a periodic term, the new landlord must give you a minimum of 2 months notice and must also make sure your deposit is protected, etc.
