We had to have a new boiler fitted last week. The landlords contractor was known to us as he had fitted us a new bathroom last year. The day before he was due to finish we left to go on holiday. We left him a key and told him to put it through the door when he was finished. We then found out from our neighbours that two hours after the plumber left, our landlord turned up, with his wife and two kids and let themselves into the property. They stayed approx half an hour. When we complained to the letting agent they said he had a right to enter the property and check the work had been done. We feel our landlord has stepped over the line and invaded our privacy. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.
