I have got a question. Our landlord protected out deposit on the begingin of August 2016 but he spelt our names wrong. We have asked him to correct it but haven’t heard anything back. Few days ago they informed us that they want us to moved out. We have asked them again for deposit protection documents and tey sent us the same page with our names still not corected. Is the document still valid? IS that still classed as deposit protection? Where do we stand?

Thank yu very much for all advise and help.

I’m not 100% certain, you need to check with a solicitor, BUT in any contract or agreement, if a name is spelled incorrectly then it is considered void, as that name does not correctly represent YOU.

I can connect you to a solicitor for some free advice. You may be eligible for the smallest amount of compensation possible.

Thank you very much for your reply. Could you gave me the contact details just in case if we decide to take it further.
