we moved in to our home beginning of February, the landlords agent said he would sort the contract out later. I ask regularly but still haven’t received it or signed any paperwork. Do I have any rights as a tenant and is there anything I can do to get a contract?

Have they given you anything at all? With regards to the tenancy your agreement should be in writing, but it is not a legal requirement. Did you pay a depost? if you did the law is very clear that the landlord MUST give you prescribed information regarding the deposit within 30 days of recieving it.

If you have not had this either you may be entiled to up to 3 times the value of the deposit in compensation. Click on ther link and we will be able to helpwww.depsotclaimsuk.com
