no hot water reported to landlord  plumber came said new boiler needed landlord disagreed sent someone else who said repairable 2 weeks on and still no hot water landlord keeps saying cant get hold of plumber and just fobs me off start new job today  and  wont be looking my best  getting so upset

Hi Babs

It’s very frustrating. Have you tried putting this in writing to the landlord? Sometimes it can spur them to action to receive a signed and dated letter setting out the problem. Include a timeline of what has happened and mention the clause in the contract that requires the landlord to carry out boiler repairs. Ask them for a date by which the repairs should be completed and request a rent reduction for the period during which there has been a loss of service and lack of access to the contractual amenities.
