My landlord hasnt told his mortgage company that he is letting his house, doesnt have landlords insurance, wont reply to my emails etc. He also hasnt given us any proof our deposit is in a rent deposit scheme.
It says in my tenancy agreement that he has tbe right permissions to let but I have found out otherwise (he has told a friend of my family he doesnt).
he also is so slow to fix problems hes take 8 month to fit a banister despite sayi g he would be round 2 weeks after he last came. When I try to contact him he doesnt respond.
What should I do? The friend of the family want to tell his mortgage provider. Would we be evicted if they found out?

Hi there, Robyn.

My comment from last night wasn’t posted so here’s a summary of it.

I found a couple of links that might help you but it’s not letting me post HTML links.

Here’s some information on what could happen because your landlord doesn’t have permission:

(just type www. at the beginning)

And here’s general information about Landlord Responsibilities:

(just type www. at the beginning)

I hope everything works out for you and that I have helped a little.

If I can do anything else, let me know.

Best of luck.
