Hi, i am hoping someone can give me some advice. We recently raised a dispute in regards to our deposit after 20 days of not hearing anything from our landlord and us moving out of the property. We have today recieved the adjudicators report and from reading the report it appears that some of our evidence was not considered. I am going to complain to the tds who dealt with the dispute but it says the decision made by the adjudicator is final. Is there anything i can do? Will a small claims court deal with this?

Yes, you can apply to court. You don’t need a solicitor, but if you’re not well versed with legal claims and the material regarding deposit disputes, it’s a good idea. If you lose, you will have to pay all court fees, including your landlord’s.

You can’t appeal the decision for the adjudication. You can make a complaint, according to this document –’re%20unhappy%20with%20our%20service.pdf – but the decision will not change.
