I can find many references to Gas and Electric combi boilers but nothing relating to oil boilers

Is it the Landlords responsibility to maintain? Repair and if necessary “replace” the oil boiler?

Any link to a web page detailing the Landlords responsibility regarding this subject would also be appreciated. In particular regarding the replacement if required.

Many Thanks

Hi Paul

This link tells you about the landlord’s repair obligations. I’m not a lawyer but as far as I know, when it comes to heating and hot water, the landlord must keep in repair (and if necessary replace) whatever was there when you moved in and whatever is mentioned in the tenancy. Take a look at your tenancy too as that should tell you what the landlord’s obligations are with respect to the boiler.
