upon moving into a new property the landlord’s agent and I measued the oil tank to be 600 litres. I went to Boiler Juice to obtain a quote to provide evidence of the cost of oil that day. A month or so down the line they have sent an invoice for the 600 litres with a much higher price per litre. The invoice is a lot higher than I calcuated.
Theyre suggesting if I’m not happy to fill the tank upon leaving the property to the same level. This is unfair as oil could be significantly higher.
The cost I obtained on the day of move should be the cost I pay, not one they have come up with weeks down the line and much higher. The fact they said “they’re not profiteering” completely out the blue suggests they coule be doing exactly that.
