Where do I start?

Moved into this house 31st July 2015

Day 1 – house dirty, oven not cleaned as promised, stair carpet wet and smelling.

Inventory provided by agent, very detailed in some parts, lots of errors.

Emailed agents with added comments/ corrections. Mentioned kitchen lights smelt of burning and had smoke coming from them, no smoke alarms amongst other concerns. Email back from agents — on holiday for 2 weeks, will catch up with you on return!

Now end of October, jobs still not done. Shower still not working, tap still leaks very badly in kitchen ( we are on a water meter), gas fire in sitting room smelt of burning – gas enginner advised dangerous and not to move. Other things still outstanding. To top it all, this week, oven not working.

Within 3 weeks of tenancy we were served with an illegal eviction notice. Obviously we challenged as clearly as retaliatory eviction due to inventory being challenged.  NOT happy at all.
