I ended my Tenancy for 02/05/2016, I arranged for removal of my belongings this Saturday and i planned to clean the flat from top to bottom on Sunday and was going to hand my keys in on the day my Tendancy ends but today it dawned on me that its a Bank Holiday(I know its foolish of me). My question is would i incur charges if i handed keys in on the 3rd?, i do know if keys are handed in late that someone can be charged a extra months rent! but do Landlords take Bank Holidays into account if a tendancy happens to fall upon that day?.

Thanks in advance

Hi Mark

Just talk to your Landlord- I am sure this wont be an issue. Also, handing keys back a day late would not trigger an extra months rent charge.

Hope it all went ok.
