The day I moved into my rented property I reported a fault to the letting agent. It is now 1 year later, I’ve had a couple of phone calls and one visit by an odd-job man and still no repair. Is there a legal timescale for repairs ?
As far as we know it’s normally dependent on what is ‘reasonable,’ which is judged on the type of repair and the current situation – for example a broken boiler in the middle of winter would require a quick response.
