Q: I don’t know why the shower stopped working but I feel it’s my fault because it was a perfectly good shower when I moved in and worked well for a long time. Should I tell my letting agents?

Yes, you must tell them. It is their responsibility. A shower, bath, sink and so on has to stand up to daily, regular use. As with all properties, plumbing parts can and do wear out – it’s not your fault. Your landlord or letting agent will know they have to fix or replace it.
