Q: I have alerted my landlord/letting agent to the fact that a switch/plug is broken and although I find it inconvenient they are refusing to do anything about it? Should I keep on their case?

Yes, definitely. TTV urges all tenants not to tolerate any electrical faults. A faulty switch or plug can mean there is loose, live wiring.
