It is possible that the council has made an error in the way it has assessed your needs and therefore got your priority status wrong, so it is worth challenging the decision. The thing to bear in mind is the fact that they may have come to the decision because you didn’t give them enough information about your circumstances or situation. Go back over your application and carefully check to make sure you told them everything about you and your needs.

For instance, if you are disabled, make sure you have explained fully about your disability or if you have a serious medical condition tell them specifically all about it. It is possible the council assessors haven’t understood how great your needs are.
