Q: The letting agent says I have to pay for a professional clean when I move out but it was domestically cleaned when I moved in. Do I have to pay for a professional clean?

A. Check your tenancy agreement and the letting agent website for a list of all fees payable by the tenant. If there is a clause stating that a professional clean must be carried out on moving out of the property, then you will have to pay to get this done. Before signing a new tenancy agreement and moving into your next property, you may be able to negotiate the removal of such a clause if the property has not been cleaned to a professional standard.
