Q: The problem is coming from next door’s roof/through next door’s wall or from neighbours blocking the drains – should I ask my landlord to fix it?

If your landlord owns or controls the part of the building which is causing the problem then you should ask your landlord to fix it, just as if it was in your own home.

However, if the part of the building which is causing the problem is not owned or controlled by your landlord (or letting agent) then they have no responsibility for it. It is a matter for you, the tenant/resident, to pursue with your neighbour.
